FIT & SIZE CHART
BridalMelody revolutionize fit and make bridal more inclusive for all sizes. We can accommodate any body!
Few things you should remember:
※ Before you measure, please take off everything except your bra and underwear to ensure get accurate measurements.
※ Measure yourself after a large meal, like lunch or dinner, to get measurements for comfortably fitting clothes.
※ Measure with bra on as almost all of our dresses have build-in bra cups.
※ Measure with heels (the one you plan to wear for this dress) on to make sure your dress length will be long enough.
※ All BridalMelody pieces require alterations to ensure they fit perfectly. We suggest all brides plan an extra budget and extra time for any potential alterations in order to make the dress fits exactly how you want it.
※ When picking a size from our standard size chart, if your measurements are bordering between sizes, always opt for the bigger size, leaving room for alterations.
※ Starting from size "J", there will be extra plus size fee for covering the extra material expenses.
※ You may need to find a friend or family member to help you take the measurements in order to choose the right size, we advised you to measure everything 2 times to be certain.
1. STANDARD SIZE
Pick one of our standard sizes - we’ve found that these encompasses 98% of brides.
2. MADE TO MEASURE
Free! No extra charge. For brides who are absolutely confident in the accuracy of the measurements they provide.
※ In the past few years, 80% of brides who ordered "make to measure" end up didn't need any alterations, which is a great result. But as no one from our team is with you taking the measurements face to face, and fit is highly personal, it's related to dressing preference, weight fluctuation, potential design flaws etc., so we are unable to fully guarantee a perfect fit no matter you choose a standard size or "made to measure". We suggest all brides plan an extra budget for any potential alterations in order to make the dress fit exactly how you like it.
Measure the circumference of your bust at your largest point.
Measure around your natural waist which is the narrowest part of your torso, generally located between your rib cage and belly button. Keep tape horizontally and slightly loose to allow for breathing room.
Measure around your bottoms at the fullest point. Keep the tape parallel to the floor.
4. Shoulder width
Measure across your upper back from the tip of one shoulder to the tip of the other. Try not to hunch over and keep your upper body straight naturally. Keep the tape parallel to the floor.
5. Nipple to nipple
Measure from nipple to nipple.
6. Shoulder to nipple
Measure from the middle of your single shoulder to your nipple, make sure the tape covers your upper breast. Keep tape vertical to the floor.
Draw tape from your shoulder to armpit, and back up behind your shoulder until it meets the starting end. Keep tape vertically straight along the back and front of your shoulder. Make sure that it also lies flat against your body.
Let your hands and arms drop naturally to your side. Measure around the fullest part of your upper arm. Keep the tape taut, but do not let it dig into your skin.
9. Hollow to waist
Begin at the hollow space between the collarbones and pull tape straight down to natural waist. (About 1inch/2.5cm) above your belly button.
Measure around your wrist.
11. Sleeve length
Let your hands and arms drop naturally to your side. Measure from your outer shoulder point, along your arms to where you want sleeves to end.
12. Hollow to floor
Measure from the hollow of the neck, which is the dip between your collarbones, all the way to the floor with your feet together (with shoes/heels on), standing straight. In this measurement, you might also want to add about ½-1 inch extra to allow yourself room to sit down.
13. Shoulder to split (If your dress has a split)
Measure from the middle of your single shoulder then go down, make sure the tape covers your full breast until the point where you want the split to start.
